OWNER: TRACEY SCHORK

"It takes a village to raise a child"  (or in our case--- a stallion)

Tracey is an Ann Arbor native who always showed a love for animals growing up. She got her first horse, Brandy, as a young teenager and kept that first horse for 24 years until his passing in 2006 at 32 years of age. She provided Brandy with a lifelong home and a commitment by purchasing a plot of land with the help of her parents in 1986. Soon after, Tracey and her family built a barn for Brandy and a few years later built a home where Tracey and her husband Ted now raise their family.  The mother of three children, Heather age 7, and 5 year old twins, Adam and Bella, Tracey puts new meaning in the words "time management".
Over the years, Trailsend Stable has become a breeding farm where foals are raised with love and care.  Tracey believes in breeding quality horses that are easy enough for the amateur to train on their own without compromising quality. With that quality comes a horse that is talented enough to take a professional to the top of their sport.
Tracey has a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from Eastern Michigan University and is a certified Equine Massage Therapist.  She uses the skills she acquired from both of these backgrounds and applies them to her everyday work with horses.

DRESSAGE TRAINER: KELLIE TROSIN

"Ask often, expect little or nothing, and reward generously"
~ Chuck Grant

Kellie Trosin is currently finishing up her education in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She has been riding and showing horses for over 15 years. In this time she has worked with many different breeds and disciplines. As a teenager, Kellie spent her time on the competitive Quarter Horse and Hunter/Jumper circuits where she learned how to have an edge on her competitors by presenting the nicest turned out horses at the shows. Kellie  got her start and passion for dressage when she received her first horse, a thoroughbred mare off the track .She learned to work with that mare by listening in on lessons,  taking advice from anyone willing to provide it and applying it to her everyday riding and training.  She also learned to take each obstacle as positive by using it as an opportunity to build on her riding.

Kellie has also been a working student with Olympian Great Michael Poulin in Florida. She has also ridden with many top clinicians including Sue Hughes Lynda Alicki, Shannon Peters, Colleen Hoekstra and Diane Rodich are just some of the professionals who have helped Kellie along on her journey.

Kellie is extremely patient when working with horses in hand and under saddle, she knows what it takes to provide horse and rider a calm positive atmosphere . She shows her love for animals on a routine basis here at Trailend Stable and we are proud to have working with Reesling. Kellie has an instinctual ability to connect with each horse she rides and interacts with. Taking advice from good horseman, keeping yourself humble and remaining open to learning  is  the key to having good insight and feel for each horse.

Tracey & Flashy
When God created the horse, he said to the magnificent creature: I have made thee as no other. All the treasures of the earth shall lie between thy eyes. Thou shalt cast my enemies between thy hooves, but thou shalt carry my friends upon thy back. Thy saddle shall be the seat of prayers to me. And thou shall fly without any wings, and conquer without any sword.
~ The Koran
BARN MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT: KATHY RYE
Kathy has been an important part of Trailsend Stable - not just "Team Reesling" since 2001.

Without Kathy and her "horse-keeping" knowledge and capabilities ~ there would NEVER be a vacation or a day off for owner - Tracey.

There is nothing more valuable than knowing that you can leave your barn for a day, a week or even close to a month (while we were in Florida with Reesling for his stallion testing) without ever a worry that the horses will be cared for to the same standards and love that they are accustomed to.
