OWNER: TRACEY SCHORK

"It takes a village to raise a child"  (or in our case--- a stallion)

Tracey is an Ann Arbor native who always showed a love for animals growing up. She got her first horse, Brandy, as a young teenager and kept that first horse for 24 years until his passing in 2006 at 32 years of age. She provided Brandy with a lifelong home and a commitment by purchasing a plot of land with the help of her parents in 1986. Soon after, Tracey and her family built a barn for Brandy and a few years later built a home where Tracey and her husband Ted now raise their family.  The mother of three children, Heather age 8, and 6 year old twins, Adam and Bella, Tracey puts new meaning in the words "time management".
Over the years, Trailsend Stable has become a breeding farm where foals are raised with love and care.  Tracey believes in breeding quality horses that are easy enough for the amateur to train on their own without compromising quality. With that quality comes a horse that is talented enough to take a professional to the top of their sport.
Tracey has a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from Eastern Michigan University and is a certified Equine Massage Therapist.  She uses the skills she acquired from both of these backgrounds and applies them to her everyday work with horses.

When I stand before God
at the end of my life, I would hope
that I would not have a single
bit of talent left and could say,
"I Used everything You gave me."

Tracey & Flashy
When God created the horse, he said to the magnificent creature: I have made thee as no other. All the treasures of the earth shall lie between thy eyes. Thou shalt cast my enemies between thy hooves, but thou shalt carry my friends upon thy back. Thy saddle shall be the seat of prayers to me. And thou shall fly without any wings, and conquer without any sword.

BARN MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT AND PONY PARTY ORAGANIZER: KATHY RYE
Kathy has been an important part of Trailsend Stable - not just "Team Reesling" since 2001.

Without Kathy and her "horse-keeping" knowledge and capabilities ~ there would NEVER be a vacation or a day off for owner - Tracey.

There is nothing more valuable than knowing that you can leave your barn for a day, a week or even close to a month (while we were in Florida with Reesling for his stallion testing) without ever a worry that the horses will be cared for to the same standards and love that they are accustomed to.
DRESSAGE TRAINER:  JESSIE MYERS

Jessie is effective working with riders of all ages and skill levels and with horses of all breeds.  She believes that dressage is a training method with proven benefits for any horse and rider combination. Jessie is a proven and patient teacher who believes learning takes place only when horse and rider are happy and confident.

She applies a systematic approach to dressage training based on the German training pyramid that prioritizes establishing rhythm, suppleness, contact, impulsion, straightness and collection, in that order. Quality advanced work is attainable when horse and rider are working on a strong foundation of correct basics. Jessie feels it is imperative to establish a relaxed and forward moving horse who accepts contact and the rider's aids from an early point. Equally important is a correctly positioned,  confident, balanced and effective rider.
Kathy and her new "girl" Lexie.
Lexie was adopted by Kathy through New Vocations TB Rescue in Lexington, KY.
The Best of Friends

The best of friends,
Can change a frown,
Into a smile,
when you feel down.

The best of friends,
Will understand,
Your little trials,
And lend a hand.

The best of friends,
Will always share,
Your secret dreams,
Because they care.

The best of friends,
Worth more than gold,
Give all the love,
A heart can hold.
